Mammootty’s Bramayugam
Finally, Mammootty’s Malayalam horror thriller film Bramayugam, directed by Rahul Sadasivan, hit theaters today to positive reviews.
Director Rahul Sadasivan revealed that Bramayugam’s story is deeply rooted in the dark ages of Kerala. The horror flick follows Thevan, a folk singer of the Paanan caste, who has a fateful encounter when escaping slavery, leading to the discovery of an ancient tradition altering his identity. The film ensemble cast includes Mammootty, Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz, and Manikandan R. Achari.
The horror film initially began with just a Rs 2 crore budget but was later extended to Rs 27 crore, excluding publicity expenses. The film was bankrolled by Rahul Sadasivan, Night Shift Studios, and YNOT Studios with an estimated budget of Rs 27 crore.
According to Sainick.com, Mammootty’s star is expected to earn more than Rs 3 crore.
