Denis Villeneuve simultaneously working on Dune: Messiah and Nuclear War: A Scenario!

Denis Villeneuve will direct an adaptation of Nuclear War: A Scenario, according to Warner Bros. Discovery, and his next project will be Dune: Messiah, the company revealed.

According to reports, Warner Bros. Discovery has recruited filmmaker Denis Villeneuve to adapt Pulitzer Prize nominee Annie Jacobsen’s nonfiction book Nuclear War: A Scenario.

In Dune: Messiah, Paul Atreides is the Emperor, and the Fremen army is engaged in a holy war that has claimed billions of lives across the galaxy.

Meanwhile, the Three Great Houses, the Tleilaxu, the Spacing Guild, and the Bene Gesserit, plot to depose Paul because they fear his clairvoyant abilities.

Simultaneously, Paul uses his powers to navigate an increasingly dangerous future in order to ensure both his own and his empire’s survival.

While we wait for official box office results for this weekend later today, it is worth noting that Dune: Part Two grossed $626 million globally the previous weekend and is presently the highest-grossing film of 2024.

Box office analysts now predict that the picture will gross more than $700 million worldwide before it closes its theatrical run.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dune: Part Two’s break-even point for movie office revenue was $500 million.

Dune: Part Two has an outstanding cast, including Timothee Chalamet as Paul Atreides, Zendaya as Chani, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, and Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen.

Film follows Paul Atreides’ mythological quest as he joins Chani and the Fremen on a revenge mission against the conspirators ,who slaughtered his family.

Faced with a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he works to avoid a horrific future that only he can predict.

Part 3 might arrive in late 2027 or early 2028, depending on how things go with making the movie.
