Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has revealed plans to begin shooting for his next film, tentatively titled “King,” in July-August. This Sujoy Ghosh directorial will also feature his daughter, Suhana Khan, marking her theatrical debut.

The video, which praised acclaimed cinematographer Santosh Sivan, also hinted at the “King” script being on Shah Rukh’s desk.

In the video, Shah Rukh Khan speaks about his working relationship with Santosh Sivan, who was honored with the prestigious Pierre Angenieux ExcelLens in Cinematography at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. While SRK’s words were heartfelt, eagle-eyed fans focused on the script visible next to him. Comments like “King script ready hai bhai” and “Ready For King” flooded the post, confirming their excitement for the upcoming film.

Plot and Cast Details

“King” will reportedly feature Shah Rukh Khan as an infamous don, marking his return to a grey role. This comes as news circulates that he will not be reprising his iconic role in Farhan Akhtar’s “Don 3,” with Ranveer Singh taking over the torch. In “King,” Shah Rukh will work alongside his daughter, Suhana Khan, who plays a character taken under his wing.

The film is co-produced by Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Siddharth Anand’s Marflix Pictures.
