Anurag Basu, known for his unique storytelling, is currently wrapping up the shoot of the much-awaited anthology “Metro… In Dino.” The star-studded cast includes Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Kay Kay Menon.
As the shoot nears its conclusion, Anurag Basu is gearing up for his next feature film—an original romantic saga starring Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri.
The film, produced by Bhushan Kumar under the T Series banner, is set to begin shooting in August 2024. Contrary to earlier reports, this project is not “Aashiqui 3.” The production team is already working on curating a music album that complements the romantic theme of the film.
Kartik Aaryan, fresh off his role in Anees Bazmee’s “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,” will lead the cast. Following this project, Kartik is also slated to work on Vishal Bhardwaj’s next film, “Arjan Ustara.
Kishore Kumar Biopic
Anurag Basu’s passion project is a biopic on the legendary artist Kishore Kumar. Although still in the script stage, the film is set to go into production by the end of 2025. Basu, along with producer Bhushan Kumar, aims to share Kishore Kumar’s remarkable life story with the world. Casting decisions will follow once the script is finalized.
