Sunny Deol accused of Cheating, Extortion and Forgery

Actor and Member of Parliament Sunny Deol, known for his blockbuster film “Gadar 2,” is now embroiled in controversy. Film producer Sorav Gupta, formerly a real estate developer, has leveled serious accusations against the actor.

Money Trail: Broken Promises and False Starts

Gupta claims that in 2016, Sunny Deol accepted ₹1 crore in advance, promising to make a movie. However, instead of starting Gupta’s film, Deol chose to shoot for “Poster Boys” (2017). Gupta alleges that Deol repeatedly asked for more money, leaving a total of ₹2.55 crore in the actor’s account. Meanwhile, Gupta was left funding another director and securing Filmistaan studio, all in vain.

Forged Agreements and Financial Manipulation

Adding to the drama, Gupta accuses Sunny Deol of forging an agreement with his company in 2023. When Gupta reviewed the document, he discovered that Deol had altered the fee amount from ₹4 crore to ₹8 crore and adjusted the profit figures as well.

Filmmaker Suneel Darshan Supports Gupta’s Claims

Filmmaker Suneel Darshan echoes Gupta’s sentiments, revealing his own grievances with Sunny Deol. Darshan alleges that Deol acquired overseas distribution rights for his movie “Ajay” (1996) but failed to complete the payment. Later, Deol convinced Darshan to collaborate on another project, leading to further financial transactions.

Gadar 2 Success

‘Gadar 2’ has turned out to be a massive success. Starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma, the film has managed to earn more than Rs 500 crore. The stupendous success of the sequel has had a resounding impact within the industry.

Last seen on screen in 2018, Gadar 2 marked the return of Sunny Deol as an actor after a gap of five years. Not only this, but Gadar 2 also marked the return of Ameesha Patel as an actor after a gap of five years. Interestingly, both were last seen on screen together in a movie named Bhaiaji Superhit.

Despite these serious allegations, neither Sunny Deol nor his team has responded publicly. As the controversy unfolds, the industry awaits further developments.
