Rajkummar Rao’s talks about a Fake Role and Scam

Rajkummar Rao, the versatile actor known for his powerful performances, recently found himself entangled in a web of deception. Let’s delve into the incident where he was offered a fake role and scammed out of ₹10,000 for a supposed film project.

Earlier, Rajkummar Rao took to his Instagram Stories to warn his fans and followers about a fraudulent email sent in his name. The email claimed that Rajkummar had agreed to work in a film titled “Honeymoon Package.” The sender impersonated Rajkummar and even mentioned a manager named Saumya. The email requested an advance payment of ₹3.1 crore (50% of the total fees) for the role. However, Rajkummar Rao clarified that he knew no about anyone named Saumya and that the entire email was a sham. He urged people to be cautious and not fall prey to such scams.

Fake Role and Scam:

The fake email used Rajkummar’s name and fabricated details about the film project. It claimed that the director was Mr. Santosh Maskey, and the narration was scheduled to take place in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Studio. The scammer even specified a payment method involving cash and cheques. Fortunately, Rajkummar Rao’s vigilance prevented him from being duped. He shared the screenshot of the email as a warning to others, emphasizing the importance of verifying communication from official channels.

The entertainment industry attracts both genuine opportunities and fraudulent schemes. Actors often receive offers through legitimate channels, such as their agents or production houses. In this case, Rajkummar’s instincts saved him from financial loss and potential damage to his reputation.

Rajkummar Rao’s cautionary tale highlights the need for vigilance in the digital age. Whether you’re a celebrity or an everyday individual, staying alert and verifying communication can protect you from falling victim to scams. As Rajkummar continues to shine on the silver screen, he reminds us all to be wary of fake promises and always verify before committing.
