As Father’s Day approaches on June 16, singer Rahul Vaidya shares his experiences of being a first-time dad to his baby girl, Navya. Vaidya and his actor-wife Disha Parmar welcomed Navya in September last year, and he reflects on how fatherhood has transformed his life.
Life-Changing Experience
Since Navya’s arrival, Rahul Vaidya admits that his life has “changed completely.” He feels more mindful and calm, explaining how his daughter has had a profound impact on his behavior and outlook. “Now, there is a check for everything I do in life. It has made me much milder and mindful,” he says. Vaidya also expresses a deeper respect for women, imagining how he would feel if someone mistreated his daughter.
First Father’s Day Plans
Rahul Vaidya is excited to celebrate his first Father’s Day with Navya. He plans to spend the entire day with her, cherishing every moment. “I’ll spend the whole day with her. She is just the cutest. I love holding her in my arms and just being. I’ll just give her a lot of kisses and hugs,” he shares. Vaidya considers becoming a father to Navya a great honor and the best blessing he could have asked for.
The Joy of Being a Girl Dad
Vaidya feels particularly blessed to have a daughter. “It’s because of her that I have become a father; she has given me that honor. It’s the best blessing that I could have ever asked for. Maine jo maanga tha vo mujhe upar waale ne diya, I wanted a daughter. I don’t think there can be anything more special than this,” he expresses. His love for Navya is evident as he talks about the joy she has brought into his life.
Future Aspirations for Navya
When asked about his hopes for Navya’s future, Rahul Vaidya emphasizes that he doesn’t want to pressure her into any specific career path, including singing. “I would definitely want her to choose what she wishes to, meri usse koi ummeeden nahi hain. I don’t want her to pursue something specific,” he explains. Observing her energetic nature, Vaidya believes she has the potential to be a good athlete. “Bahut hi energy se per failaati hai. That is her way of showing excitement,” he notes.
