He noted, “Aditya is one of those directors who brings out another side of you on screen. I hope this series will be as impactful as his previous works, Munjya and Kakuda.”

In a June interview, Rajeev Khandelwal provided additional details about the series, describing it as a compelling project with elements reminiscent of Indiana Jones. The series is based on “Pratipashchandra,” written by Dr. Prakash Suryakant Koyade. This novel is notable for being the ‘first Shivaji-era historical mystery novel.’ The story revolves around a well-guarded secret kept by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his intelligence chief Bahirji Naik. The novel’s intriguing plot connects historical periods from the fourteenth, seventeenth, and twenty-first centuries.

Rajeev Khandelwal was recently seen in the quirky web series “Showtime,” which explores the film industry. In the series, available on Disney+ Hotstar, Khandelwal portrayed Armaan Singh, an arrogant superstar. His performance in this role further showcased his versatility as an actor.
