Ulajh Box Office Collection Day 6: Janhvi Kapoor’s Film Struggles to Gain Momentum

Ulajh Box Office Collection Day 6: Janhvi Kapoor’s Film Struggles to Gain Momentum. Janhvi Kapoor’s latest film, “Ulajh,” has been facing challenges at the Indian box office. According to Sacnilk.com, the film earned only ₹60 lakh on its first Wednesday, marking a significant dip in its earnings. Released last Friday, “Ulajh” has struggled to maintain a steady performance.

Box Office Performance

On its opening day, “Ulajh” managed to collect ₹1.15 crore. The second day saw a slight increase with ₹1.75 crore, followed by ₹2 crore on the third day. However, the film’s earnings began to decline from the fourth day, with collections of ₹65 lakh on both the fourth and fifth days. On the sixth day, the film earned ₹60 lakh, bringing its total collection to ₹6.80 crore so far. The film had an overall 10.75% Hindi occupancy on Wednesday.

Comparison with Mr & Mrs Mahi: “Ulajh” is Janhvi Kapoor’s second release of the year, following “Mr & Mrs Mahi” in May. Unfortunately, “Ulajh” has not been able to surpass the performance of “Mr & Mrs Mahi,” which earned ₹1.85 crore on its sixth day.

Janhvi Kapoor on Her Role in Ulajh

In a recent interview with PTI, Janhvi Kapoor shared her excitement about playing a different character in “Ulajh.” She said, “I feel it’s a very different character for me. In my earlier films, I was a helpless, damsel in distress kind of role. Suhana (her character) is not like that. She is not an ‘abla naari’ and that was very exciting for me.” She added, “When I was reading the script and what I was expecting and what usually is expected from the spy thriller, the film is more than that. It’s a coming of age, emotional, thrilling and entertaining. It’s also about a woman’s journey in a man’s world.”

About Ulajh

Ulajh Box Office Collection: Directed by Sudhanshu Saria, “Ulajh” features Janhvi Kapoor as Suhana, a young diplomat and spy. Suhana is the youngest Deputy High Commissioner, navigating a challenging mission at the London embassy under close watch. Her performance in the film defies stereotypes and addresses nepotism head-on. Gulshan Devaiah plays a mysterious undercover agent, adding further suspense to the narrative.
