Dhanush’s much-anticipated film, ‘Raayan,’ is gearing up for its OTT debut. The movie, featuring an ensemble cast that includes SJ Suryah, Selva Raghavan, Saravanan, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, and Prakash Raj, is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on August 23. Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures, ‘Raayan’ marks Dhanush’s 50th film and will be available for streaming in Tamil, with dubs in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada across India.

Plot

The plot intensifies as Raayan attempts to secure a marriage for Durga, leading to a clash with local gangsters. The story unfolds amidst a power struggle between two rival gang leaders, Sethu (SJ Suryah) and Durai (Saravanan). Raayan’s efforts to protect his sister and secure a better future for his family thrust him into a perilous situation. The conflict escalates as Raayan becomes entangled in the dangerous dynamics of the criminal underworld.

Complicating matters further is the arrival of a new police officer in town, portrayed by Prakash Raj. This officer manipulates the evolving situation to clean up the city’s criminal activities. Adding another layer of tension to the narrative. As Raayan battles to safeguard his family from the mounting threats, the story delves into themes of loyalty, family bonds, and the struggle for survival in an increasingly hostile environment.
