Following the success of the critically acclaimed film Sita Ramam, director Hanu Raghavapudi has teamed up with actor Prabhas for their first collaboration. The much-anticipated project was officially launched in Hyderabad, marking a significant milestone in their careers.

The event was attended by Prabhas, the film’s director Hanu Raghavapudi, and prominent figures from the industry, including ‘Salaar’ director Prashanth Neel. This new film, currently referred to as #PrabhasHanu, is tentatively titled Fauji and represents an exciting venture for all involved.
‘Fauji’ to feature Indian military as backdrop
Fauji is set against the backdrop of the Indian military and is anticipated to be a patriotic film. The project piqued Prabhas’s interest due to its unique love story and the complex role he will portray. The film is expected to be set in the pre-independence era, with Prabhas playing a soldier in the British Army. He will be seen as the disciple of Subash Chandra Bose and also the secret member of Azad Hind Fauz Movement. Regular shooting for Fauji is slated to commence in late August while it started with a shooting clip today.
The film will feature Bollywood veteran Mithu Chakraborty. Renowned Telugu actress Jayaprada in pivotal roles, adding to the project’s star power. The music for Fauji will be composed by Vishal Chandrashekhar. Known for his work on Sita Ramam, while the cinematography will be handled by Sudeep Chatterjee, acclaimed for his work on Gangubai. The collaboration of these talented professionals is expected to elevate the film’s overall quality and appeal.
Prabhas Upcoming Films
In addition to Fauji, Prabhas has a busy schedule with several other high-profile projects. He will soon resume shooting for Maruthi’s horror drama The Raja Saab, set for release in April 2025. This film, produced by People Media Factory and featuring music by Thaman, is highly anticipated. Prabhas is also expected to begin work on Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit early next year. Furthermore, he has sequels for Kalki 2898 AD and Salaar in the pipeline, ensuring a packed and exciting future for the actor.
