Most awaited update on Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayan’

Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor will play two parts in Nitesh Tiwari’s forthcoming epic fantasy film, Ramayan. Reports claim that Kapoor will portray two of Lord Vishnu’s incarnations, Lord Rama and Lord Parashuram. After Animal and Shamshera, he will play three double roles in total. Lara Dutta and Sai Pallavi are confirmed in lead roles, although the studio has not formally announced the movie yet.

Parashuram’s Role Significance in Ramayan

Explaining the significance of Parashuram’s role, The source stated, “Parashuram had a conflict with Ram after Shiva’s bow, Pinaka, was broken. He challenges Ram to bend Vishnu’s bow, and upon witnessing Ram succeed, he acknowledges Ram as an incarnation of Vishnu and retreats to his penance.”

“Although Parashuram’s role in the epic is brief, it holds significant importance, and the filmmakers have ensured it reflects that. Ranbir will have a completely distinct and unrecognizable look as Parashuram.”

Another important update revealed that Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan confirmed to join the Ramayana cast. It is another noteworthy casting announcement. however, the angry young man will not be visible on the big screen. Rather, he will give his voice to the godly bird Jatayu, who dies in the battle with Ravana while trying to save Goddess Sita. The filmmakers have used VFX to scan Bachchan’s eyes for enhancing Jatayu’s representation.

About Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayan’

Producing the two-part mythical story under Prime Focus Studios in association with KGF star Yash’s Monster Mind Creations is Namit Malhotra, the founder of the globally recognized VFX studio DNEG. Reportedly, the film has an incredible $100 million budget, making it one of the most ambitious Indian productions ever. Sai Pallavi-Sita, Yash-Ravana, Sunny Deol-Hanuman, Ravi Dubey-Laxman are the cast in lead roles. The other rumoured cast members are Dutta-Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh-Shurpanakha, and Arun Govil-Dashrath.
