Although the investigating officer made hints about a possible suicide, the most recent information indicates that Mehta called his daughters just before his passing, informing them that he was “sick” and “tired.”
Anil Mehta, the father of Malaika and Amrita Arora, reportedly called his daughters just hours before he passed away, according to a media source. He told them, “I’m sick and tired,” the people cited in the story state.
Malaika Arora released an official statement on Wednesday night, and it had an emotional message. It said, “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect.”
Malaika Arora ‘s mom Joyce’s confrimation
Although they were divorced, the actress’s mother Joyce Arora allegedly admitted to the police that they had been living together again for the last few years. When the incident occurred, she and Anil were the only ones together. She continued talking about the tragedy by revealing that her ex-husband used to sit on the balcony every morning and read the newspapers.
On September 11, she went to search for him on the balcony. She noticed his slippers in the living room, but she was unable to locate him. She heard noise coming from the building and leaned over to see the watchman yelling for assistance. At that moment, she became aware that something was seriously amiss. Joyce added that other than occasional knee pain, Anil did not have any serious health problems.
Additionally, DCP Crime Branch Raj Tilak Roshan stated that they were looking into the situation when addressing the media. As long as more research is conducted, they maintain that it seems “at prima facie” to be a suicide case.
