The film will be released in theaters in the summer of 2025; however, the exact date has not yet been announced. In the recent update, it was disclosed that the shooting of the movie has finally wrapped up completely. The information about the digital rights of the films has also been revealed. Though the OTT platform has not been revealed, it sold for a record price, making it the. It is the first-ever Kollywood film to be sold for such a whopping amount.

The digital rights to Thug Life were bought by an as-yet-to-be-disclosed OTT platform for an astounding Rs 149.7 crore. This contract is the biggest OTT sale for a Tamil film ever, shattering previous records. The OTT platform that has acquired the film has not yet been revealed, but fans are eager to see the stunning visual production that two renowned Tamil movie legends have made.

Mani Ratnam, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Kamal Haasan, is the director of the upcoming action drama movie Thug Life in the Tamil language. Madras Talkies, Red Giant Movies, and Raaj Kamal Films International are the producers in collaboration. Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jisshu Sengupta, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Pankaj Tripathi, Nassar, Ali Fazal, Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Abhirami Gopikumar, and Vaiyapuri co-star with Haasan in the movie.

Thug Life marks Haasan and Ratnam’s reunion following their 1987 film Nayakan. The action drama film is co-written and directed by Mai Ratnam along with Kalam Hasan. The film stars Silambarasan, Pankaj Tripathi, Nassar, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf, among others.
