Are Amir Khan And Kiran Rao Going To Work Together Again After Laapata Ladies. Bollywood’s acclaimed filmmaker Kiran Rao is currently riding high on success with her recent release Laapata Ladies. The film was released on 1st March 2024 and the film was well received by the audience. Its simple yet impactful storytelling has taken the audience into the world of Laapata ladies. In a recent interview, the Laapata ladies’ director Kiran Rao was questioned about her collaboration with Aamir Khan to which Kiran Rao revealed her plans with Aamir Khan.
Kiran Rao’s collaboration With Aamir Khan
In a recent event, Kiran Rao was asked about the possibility of collaborating with her ex-husband for yet another project. To which the Laapata Ladies’ director Said “No, we will work together in the future. I don’t know in what capacity because I enjoy working with him, you know, he was the producer of this. Aamir found the script. So I’m always keen to work with him again.”
Amir Khan And Kiran Rao: When Rao is further questioned about Aamir Khan’s role as an actor or producer in their upcoming project, She reacted by saying she was not sure about the roles. She added that the story will be the main priority for her and then if the story allows her to add the character she will proceed with the same. Finally, she said that she is waiting to collaborate with her ex-husband again.
Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan first met on the sets of Ashutosh Gowariker’s in 2001. They started dating in 2004 and got married the following year and they had a son in 2011. The couple announced their Divorce in 2021 after 16 years of marriage. They are coparenting their son Aazad.

Aamir Khan will next be seen in Sitaare Zameen Par alongside Genelia D’Souza and Darsheel Safary. The movie is expected to hit the theatres on this christmas, 25th December 2024. The film was announced in October 2023. The film will be a sequel to tare zameen Par which was released back in 2007. He will be producing Sunny Deol’s Lahore 1947.
