Devara’s pre-release event was canceled.  Reason

The Devara: Part 1 crew announced the postponement of the pre-release event in Hyderabad in an official statement. They said, “We were eagerly waiting for this day as we’ve worked hard on this film for years and wanted to celebrate it on a grand scale especially since it’s the first solo release of our beloved Man of Masses NTR after 6 years.”

Yet they encountered numerous difficulties. The team explained that the pre-release event was planned just after the Ganesh Nimarjanam and that events like this usually take at least a week to prepare for. In addition, there were other difficulties brought on by the recent severe rains. Even though it didn’t rain today, the weather on the event day wouldn’t have been suitable for an outdoor event, even with excellent planning.

The statement Continued, “The massive turnout of fans despite our best efforts became uncontrollable as barricades were broken due to the overwhelming crowd.” Therefore, the crew had to make the difficult choice to cancel the event in order to ensure everyone’s safety. They wished for everyone’s safe return, and acknowledged that some fans may have come from all across the nation.

“We deeply apologize for the inconvenience and are truly sorry for the situation. Thank you for your understanding and support. Team Devara,” the statement ended. Chief Guests of the event, director Trivikram and Jr. NTR were asked to leave the venue when the crowd went crazy.

Koratala Siva is the director of the epic action thriller, Devara. Jr. NTR, Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, and more actors are part of cast. The film will be released in theaters on September 27, 2024.
