Devara Review: Over confidence started Flop streak

The Collaboration of Bollywood and Tollywood previously created wonders at the box office. The collaboration of North and South ‘RRR’ bought the first-ever Oscar for the Indian film Industry. Global star Jr NTR who was part of RRR is now again back on screen with another film ‘Devara’. Also Karan Johar’s recommendation got Janhvi Kapoor on board to make another Bollywood collab. This film is finally released after multiple postponements. Devara Review, Over confidence started Flop streak

Story:

‘Devara’ features Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles. The story is Set in the 1980s and 1990s, a fearless man from a coastal region starts his dangerous journey in the sea to safeguard the lives of his people. Unknown to him, his brother, Bhaira, is plotting a conspiracy against him.

Devara Review:

The first half of the film has the introduction to the characters and makers tried to keep the roles relatable to viewers. As there is another part, it is important for the audience to know the characters well enough. The fight scenes were electrifying and engaging. But, The Role of Janhvi Kapoor has no scope in the film, the story can go forward anyway with or without her. All there was in the movie was a glamour show of Janhvi Kapoor.

The Second half of the film is not so engaging. The scenes were elaborated and elongated beyond the limit which makes viewers lose interest. The songs by Anirudh are good and attractive in the film. The storyline can be more stronger and engaging. The second part is not so engaging. The Global Star’s exceptional performance and Janhvi Kapoor’s glamour show failed to grab audience and keep them engaging .

Positives:

Jr NTR’s performance
Exciting first half
Music

Negatives:

Janhvi Kapoor role
Non engaging second half
Poor Screen Play

Rating: 1.5/5
