Sunita Ahuja, Govinda’s wife, spoke with the media for the first time since the actor’s unintentional bullet wound. She gave her fans confidence that the actor is healing nicely.
In the early hours of Tuesday, October 1, Govinda was accidentally shot. Bollywood stars Shatrughan Sinha, David Dhawan, Sudesh Lehri, Jackky Bhagnani, and others were spotted visiting the hospital after the regrettable occurrence to see how the legendary actor was doing. Sunita Ahuja, Govinda’s wife, has disclosed that the actor is healing nicely in the meantime. In a few months, she promised the fans, the actor would resume dancing.
Govinda’s wife shares health update
Sunita Ahuja, Govinda’s wife, spoke with ANI today, October 2, as she was outside the Criticare Hospital. The actor was performing better than he had done yesterday, she disclosed. In a day or two, he would be released from the ward and admitted to a regular one. She also thanked his supporters and admirers for their well wishes and prayers.
In addition, Sunita mentioned that a lot of fans have been praying for the actor’s quick recovery in dargahs and temples. “Main bolna chahungi fans ko aap log panic mat hoiye. Sir ek dum thik hain kuch mahine baad sir fir dance vance karne lagenge. Thank you so much (I would request fans to not panic. Sir is fine and he will be dancing again in a few months).”
For those who don’t know, Govinda unintentionally shot himself with his handgun on Tuesday, according to reports. The actor was allegedly leaving for an appointment when the incident happened at about 4:45 in the morning. Describing the incident, Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha said that the actor was unintentionally holding his licensed handgun when it fell, resulting in a bullet being discharged.
A few hours later, Govinda also released an audio message through Krishna Hegde, the leader of the Shiv Sena. He thanked his supporters for their well wishes and blessings in the initial message. He added that he was okay and that the bullet had been removed.
Additionally, Krushna Abhishek, Govinda’s nephew, sent a statement on Instagram that said, “Mama is feeling better now Thank you all for your prayers and love Wishing him a speedy recovery God is kind Pls let your prayers keep pouring in.”
