Ananya Panday calls tech, a ‘prevalent character’ for Gen Z films. Ananya, The star kid who made herself a name in the Industry with or without the family name. Ananaya While promoting her film CTRL expressed the social media impact on cinema. The CTRL actress said, “I feel like it is the time that we’re living in. It is the generation that we’re living in where technology is such a big part of all of our lives. Being a part of Gen Z, these stories are relatable for me. It’s something that is just starting to happen.”

She further continued saying “In the romantic genre or the thriller genre, it (technology) will be a prevalent character. I feel like it is something that exists. It’ll be hard to tell a story where there isn’t some effect or some social media. It will be in many more stories going forward,” she further added, “Even in the smallest of things, like just agreeing to terms and conditions, allowing your iPad and your laptops access to your camera and microphone, accepting cookies every time you go onto a new website… We’re not aware of the repercussions. The film made me aware of those small things, but it’s still back to that toxic behavior. I know it, but I’m still doing it.”

CTRL Sequel

During the interview, The director was asked about the possibility of a sequel, He mentioned that earlier he had another ending for the film, where Nella is on her way to take vengeance. However, he ultimately decided against it. “Maybe. I don’t know. I don’t buy into a sequel. I think in Nella’s case, she’s doomed. She’s gone down that rabbit hole again,” Motwane stated. He believes that CTRL should remain a cautionary tale rather than evolve into a revenge-driven story.

He went on to say, “That’s the moment we realized, why would anyone in their right mind stream this or shoot this? What would be the screenlife element?” he explained. Though he didd’nt revealed anything about the sequel, The question remains same.
