Vir Das fires back at trolls for calling him a mediocre artist

Vir Das recently fired back at a social media user who labeled him and Diljit Dosanjh as ‘mediocre artists’ and ‘useful idiots’.

In his response, the standup comedian used the term conspiracy nuts with humor and said, “I love conspiracy nuts. I also love the insinuation that one has suddenly been propped up. I sell tickets, so does Diljit Dosanjh.”

On X formaly called as Twitter, a user questioned Das and Diljit Dosanjh’s unexpected rise in popularity, claiming it is part of a larger agenda to weaken India’s worldwide position.

The twitter post also accused the two artist of being mediocre and suggested they were propped up because of their links to high-profile celebrities and participation at major events.

He is also known for his comedic roles, such as Chandu in Badmaash Company, Arup Rather in Delhi Belly, Luv in Go Goa Gone.

He starred opposite Preity Zinta in a Fresh Off the Boat episode titled “The Magic Motor Inn”. He plays the patriarch of an Indian family. Das’s onscreen family will be at the center of the plot of the official spin-off of the same show.

Das appeared on the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast and discussed faking appendicitis as a child, the first laugh he ever got on stage, the controversy over his “Two Indias” monologue, and his new special Vir Das: Landing.

In 2019, he made his debut in American television with the television series, Whiskey Cavalier. He won the 2023 International Emmy Award for Best Comedy Series for the Netflix comedy special Vir Das: Landing.

International Emmy Award announced that Vir Das who won an award last year for best comedy series will be hosting the ceremony this year.

He was last seen in Amazon prime’s comedy series Call Me Bae starring alongside Ananya Pandey.
