Sanjay Leela Bhansali spoke about his reaction when he first met Deepika Padukone. Sanjay said that he went to Deepika’s home and he froze when Deepika opened the door for him. He was mesmerized by her beauty and Voice. SLB said, “When I met Deepika when I went to her house for the first time, she opened the door. I froze by the beauty of the woman, by the eyes, when I realized that there’s so much of subtlety, so much of fragility, there’s so much of beauty. She started talking, and I realized her voice was beautiful.”
SLB ‘froze’ on meeting: SLB continued saying “Then I realized I was at the right place at the right time because I knew this girl would be moulded, would be taken somewhere. It’s your instinct of how you connect. Your soul has to connect to their soul,” the filmaker added.
SLB and Deepika Collabs
The powerful Director Actress duo first collaborated on the film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela in 2013. The movie also stars Ranveer Singh, Richa Chadda, Sharad Kelkar, Gulshan Devaiah, Barkha Bisht Sengupta and manymore. Surprisingly, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela sets is the place where Ranveer and Deepika’s love sory blossomed.
Later they joined hands in 2013 for Bajirao Mastani. Again Paired with Ranveer singh, the film also stars Priyanka chopra in lead role. The movie delves into the heroic tale of peshwa Bajirao and his personal life.
