BTS’ Jungkook refused to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show 2024 with American pop singer Usher for this reason.
Jungkook is one of the most popular K-pop artists and has made a name for himself on the international platform as well.
K-pop singer collaborated with American Pop singer Usher for the remix version of Standing Next To You , for his debut solo album GOLDEN .
He was reportedly invited by Usher to perform the song at the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show but had to decline due to his Korean military enlistment, which is yet to be conformed by both singers.

With his songs he debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, the Global 200, and the Global Excl. U.S. charts, making him the first Korean solo artist to do so, and eventually became the fastest song in history to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify.
Jungkook’s follow-up single, 3D debuted at number five on both the Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart, making him the first South Korean solo artist to reach two consecutive top-five positions.
JK was named the biggest K-Pop musician in America as he ranked first on the inaugural Billboard K-Pop Artist 100 list.
He along with his BTS members enlisted in the Korean military training on December 12, 2023, and is expected to be discharged from the military duty on June 11,2025.
As the famous Korean boyband is yet to make a much anticipated group comeback owing to their mandatory military enlistment. However some of the members have released their solo songs.
It is reported that the famous singer has submitted his album GOLDEN for the Album Of The Year and Best Pop Vocal Album categories for the upcoming 2025 Grammys. He also reportedly submitted Standing Next To You for Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Music Video categories.
