Diljit Dosanjh pauses his concert to pay respect to Ratan Tata. The actor-singer honored the great Ratan Tata at his German concert. An online video featuring the singer talking about the important lessons he’s learned from the late Indian icon grabbed the audience’s attention.

Renowned Punjabi actor Diljit Dosanjh honors late industrialist Ratan Tata, who died on October 9, 2024. Diljit was performing in Germany when he learned of Tata’s passing. He stopped performing to honor Ratan Tata. The video from the concert went viral online. He also reflected on the important teachings the great Indian leader had imparted to him. Diljit made it apparent that Tata had a significant impact on his life even though he admitted that he would never be able to meet the businessman.

“You all know about Ratan Tata. He has passed away. This is my small tribute to him. Today, I feel it is important to take his name because his life — he has always worked hard. Whatever I have heard and read of him, I have never seen him speak anything wrong about anyone,” Diljit said in Punjabi.

“He has always worked hard in his life, did good work, was helpful. This is life, this is how one should be. If there is one thing we can learn from his life, it is that we should work hard, think positive, be helpful, and live life to its fullest,” the actor-singer added.

On Wednesday night, October 9, Ratan Tata passed away. On Monday, his blood pressure dropped significantly. He was in the intensive care unit (ICU) of Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. The announcement of his demise came late on Wednesday night.

Loved by Indians for his humanitarian work and creative leadership that improved the Tata Group, Ratan Tata was a well-known figure.

In addition to his remarkable contributions to industry, Ratan Tata was a kind and well-respected person. Several of his followers as well as a few Bollywood superstars shared their sorrow on social media as a result.

Along with a touching tribute to Ratan Tata, Prime Minister Narendra Modi included a photo of the two of them. Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, and many more Bollywood celebrities expressed their condolences.
