Vijay Deverakonda and Sukumar’s action flick Rampage remains unresolved

Vijay Deverakonda and Sukumar’s action flick Rampage still remains a mystery .In 2020 September,  Pusha director Sukumar announced that he would be collaborating with Vijay Devarakonda for an action film Rampage after completing the Pushpa duology.

However, till now there is no information about whether the movie will ever start. Sukumar is busy with Pushpa : The Rise postproduction and is known for taking a lot of time to finish a project. Even Pushpa 2 production has been delayed multiple times, with the release date postponed once already. After Pushpa 2, he is collaborating again with his Rangasthalam actor Ram Charan for an action thriller flick.

There’s a chance on that if Pushpa 2 and Ram Charan’s project become enormous hits, Sukumar might get too busy with Vijay  as he needs a blockbuster hit.

The film is tetatilvly titled as VD12 is period drama about a spy, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri,

VD 14 is a historical drama set between 1854–1878, directed by Rahul Sankrityan. The film’s tagline is “Epics are not written, they are etched in the blood of heroes.

Deverakonda and Shiva Nirvana directorial Kushi which received mixed reviews and underperformed than expected. In 2024, He also starred in romantic comdey ,The Family Star, which was a box-office bomb and was last seen in a cameo appearance as the warrior Arjuna in Nag Ashwin’s science-fiction epic Kalki 2898 AD.

While Sukumar is gearing up for the release of his much anticipated action sequel , Pusha : The Rise , which is set to hit the theaters worlwide on 6 December 2024 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali and Malayalam languages. It is the first Pan-Indian film to release in Bengali language.

Pushpa : The Rise pre -release business is breaking records, the film’s North India distribution rights were reportedly acquired by Prathyangira Cinemas AA Films for  whopping amount of Rs 200 crore , while Kerala and Karnataka distribution rights were acquired by E4 Entertainment and N Cinemas respectively. AGS Entertainment acquired the Tamil Nadu distribution rights.

Allu Arjun’s much awaited action sequel’s satellite rights of the were acquired by Star Maa and  digital streaming,i.e OTT rights of the film were acquired by Netflix for an enromous amount of Rs 270 crore.
