Lokesh Kanagaraj confirms Rolex standalone film casting ! will Rolex, Leo, Vikram and Kaithi unite ?

Lokesh Kanagaraj confirmed Rolex standalone film and revealed exciting updates about his upcoming projects  under Lokesh Cinematic Universe franchise ( LCU).

In a recent conversation with a media ,Lokesh Kanagaraj has revealed a major update on his much-awaited film with Suriya. Leo director shared that he plans to make Rolex standalone film following the blockbuster success of Vikram as fans demands.

 Kanagaraj revealed exciting updates about Rolex standalone film, he said, “I kept the Rolex scene to finish Vikram with a high. Since I’ve elevated the Rolex character, I will now make a standalone Rolex film. After completing Coolie, I plan to create a peak LCU film featuring all the actors from the LCU.”

Vikram director further revealed that for the next five years, he will be working on Lokesh Cinematic Universe franchise movies . He said “As the LCU universe- Lokesh Cinematic Universe franchise has started, it has to be closed properly. So next 5 years movie will be coming under LCU universe.

The next highly anticipated addition, to Lokesh Cinematic Universe franchise (LCU) is Rolex standalone , Suriya’s portrayal of Rolex, a role that has generated immense excitement.

Lokesh last directed Vijay Thalapathy’s action starrer Leo, which became his most successful film of 2024, it became one of the highest grossing Indian films by earning over ₹600 crore worldwide .

Kanagaraj announced that he is producing Bakkiyaraj Kannan directorial film starring Raghava Lawrence in the lead under the banner venture, Benz. He has also written the story for the film.

 He is also gearing up for the release of his much anticipated action film Coolie starring star cast such as Rajinikanth as Deva Nagarjuna as Simon, Soubin Shahir as Dayal, Shruti Haasan as Preethi, Sathyaraj as Rajasekar, and Upendra as Kaleesha. He co wrote the Coolie with writer Chandhru Anbazhagan and is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under the banner Sun Pictures with an estimated budget of Rs 300 crores.

Rajinikanth’s action entertainer is set to hit worldwide screen in 2025 in standard and IMAX formats.
