Divya Khosla Kumar slams Alia Bhatt for announcing fake box office collections

Divya Khosla Kumar slams Alia Bhatt for announcing fake box office collections. She slammed Alia Bhatt for distorting the popularity of her movie Jigra. Producer Karan Johar appeared to respond to her with a mysterious message.

Is it too soon to refer to Divya Khossla Kumar’s rivalry with the Karan Johar-Alia Bhatt camp as a feud? In an atypically disorganized Instagram post on Saturday, she accused Alia of being evasive about the actual opening weekend gross of her latest movie, Jigra. Later, the producer and Alia’s mentor Karan Johar responded with a mysterious message about sparing “fools” nothing but silence. Khosla also did not take it lightly, strengthening her position.

Divya wrote in her first post, “Went to Citi Mall PVR for Jigra show. Theatre was totally empty … all theaters going empty every where. #Aliabhatt me sach mein Bahut #Jigra hai.. khud hi tickets karide aur fake collections announce kar diye. Wonder why paid media is silent. #weshdnotfooltheaudience #truthoverlies #HappyDussehra,” she added.”

Karan later shared a quote on his Instagram stories that read, “Silence is the best speech you will ever give to fools.” He didn’t need to name Divya, so he didn’t.

Similarly, Divya responded with the quote, “Truth will always offend fools opposed to it.” She posted one more IG story that read, “When you are so accustomed to stealing what rightfully belongs to others, you will always seek shelter in silence. You will have no voice, no spine.”

One of Alia Bhatt’s weakest openings in a while is Jigra. In just two days since its release, including the Dussehra holiday, it has amassed ₹11 crore in revenue. The movie is produced, among other things, by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and directed by Vasan Bala.
