Makers took to their social media accounts , announced the Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu’s fourth collaborative action film Akhanda 2 and sahred film’s first official poster.
Balakrishna, the God of Masses, is all set to reunite with his favourite filmmaker Boyapati Sreenu for their fourth film together, following the blockbuster action films such as Simha, Legend, and Akhanda. Each of these films outperformed expectations, with Akhanda smashing Tollywood records.
The upcoming action sequel will be bankrolled by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the banner 14 Reels Plus brand with an estimated budget of Rs 200 crores.
The film first title poster has a powerful spiritual concept., featuring a crystal Lingam and a Shiva Linga, representing deep divine elements. The title poster also includes a powerful caption, Thaandavam, symbolizes the cycle of creation, preservation, and destruction.
The film is a direct sequel to 2021 action film Akhanda directed by Boyapati Srinu and produced by Miryala Ravinder Reddy, under Dwaraka Creations. It stars Nandamuri Balakrishna in a dual role and Pragya Jaiswal, Jagapathi Babu and Prakash Raj Rao Ramesh Srikanth in the supporting roles. The soundtrack album and film score, composed by Thaman S played quite a role in the film’s enormous commercial success.
The action film Akhanda was released on 2 December 2021 to mixed reviews from critics and audiences but eventually outperformed them. It was made with a just Rs 60 crores became a massive commercial hit grossing over ₹150 crore worldwide, emerging as the second highest-grossing Telugu film of 2021.
