Stree 2 Box Office: First Day First Show Collections

Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, has made a significant impact at the box office with impressive early collections. The film, one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year, has seen strong performance during its paid previews and first day screenings.

The sequel to the 2018 hit Stree, Stree 2 has faced competition from other major releases, including Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa. Despite this, Stree 2 has managed to secure an estimated Rs 23.06 crore in earnings, with Rs 8 crore coming from paid previews alone. The film’s morning shows on August 15 reported an occupancy rate of 55.42 percent, contributing an estimated Rs 15.06 crore to its total.

The review highlights that while the first half of Stree 2 progresses smoothly, the second half encounters some difficulties. The acting performances have been praised, particularly those of Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Kapoor’s portrayal in an action role has been noted as a refreshing change. Though her role is seen as limited considering the Stree universe’s reliance on her character. Rajkummar Rao’s performance is lauded for its versatility, showcasing his ability to handle various genres from the serious tone in Shrikant to the comedic elements in Stree 2.
