This figure includes over 1.17 lakh tickets sold. Across India, the film has gathered a total gross of 2.50 crores through advance bookings for its first day. With two more days to go before its release, the film is expected to see further growth in its pre-sales figures. Given the current booking pace and the advantage of the Independence Day holiday. Thangalaan is projected to earn between 14-17 crores net on its opening day in India. The top spot remains held by Indian 2, which earned 26 crores on its release day.
