Vedaa Box Office Collections Day 1: John Abraham and Sharvari’s Film Starts Slow

Vedaa Box Office Collections Day 1: John Abraham and Sharvari’s Film Starts Slow. Vedaa, directed by Nikhil Advani and featuring John Abraham and Sharvari, had a modest opening at the box office on Independence Day. Despite the holiday, the film managed to earn only Rs 6.50 crore on its first day. This performance places Vedaa as the second most preferred movie option this holiday season, trailing behind Stree 2 but ahead of Khel Khel Mein.

Box Office Performance

Vedaa Box Office Collections: Vedaa’s opening day collection of Rs 6.50 crore is considered below average, especially given the high expectations from a John Abraham starrer. The film faced stiff competition from Stree 2, which dominated the box office with a significantly higher collection. The clash with Stree 2 meant fewer screens and showtimes for Vedaa, impacting its overall performance.

Future Projections: With the current word of mouth, Vedaa is expected to aim for a total of Rs 23-24 crore over its extended five-day weekend, ending on Monday. The lack of major new releases in the subsequent weeks might help the film sustain at lower levels. But it remains to be seen how far it can go. Given Stree 2’s strong performance, Vedaa’s best hope is to maintain its position as the second most preferred movie option and outperform Khel Khel Mein.

John Abraham’s Return

Vedaa marks John Abraham’s return to the box office after the blockbuster success of Pathaan. However, the hype around Vedaa was dampened by delays in the release of his other films. Despite this, fans hope that Vedaa will achieve at least decent final box office results.

About Vedaa

The film follows Abhimanyu (John Abraham), an ex-soldier from the Gorkha Regiment. Who was court-martialled for disobeying orders during a mission in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. In Barmer, Rajasthan, casteism is rampant, and Vedaa (Sharvari) is born into a Dalit family oppressed by the higher caste. Abhimanyu is hired to train young adults in Barmer. Despite initial resistance, he trains Vedaa separately, empowering her to fight. The film explores whether Vedaa can overcome casteism and what fate awaits Abhimanyu.
