Aamir Khan Approaches Ranbir Kapoor For “Champions” After Salman Khan’s Exit

Rumours are spreading that Aamir Khan is making a remake of Spanish movie Campeones. His first choice was Salman Khan but according to reports Salman has rejected the offer. Now Aamir Khan has approached Ranbir Kapoor.

An official announcement was scheduled to be made in March, and fans eagerly anticipated it. Unfortunately, the project hasn’t seen any significant updates since. Aamir Khan approached Ranbir Kapoor as a prospective alternative for the film after recent rumours claimed Salman Khan has opted to drop out of the adaptation. Salman Khan reportedly indicated a great desire to take part in the Hindi version of Campeones, according to a source in the industry. Salman initially appeared to be quite interested in the proposal, and everything appeared to be going smoothly. Prior to starting production on the movie in June, the final narration was supposed to occur. Salman, however, realised after the narrative that another one of his endeavours would have a scheduling clash. As a result, he made the challenging choice to withdraw from the RS Prasanna-directed sports drama.

Despite Salman Khan’s decision to leave the production, Aamir Khan’s movie Champions is now considering a possible bright spot. Ranbir Kapoor has been asked by Aamir to take on the starring role, and industry insiders think it would be a welcome shift for the actor. Ranbir, who is well-known for his wide range of film preferences and exceptional playing abilities, has shown a strong interest in the sports drama. The movie, which is an authorised translation of the Spanish film Campeones, is directed by RS Prasanna and supported by Aamir Khan Productions (AKP). The anticipated release date is 2024, but the precise timetable won’t be known until all the required documentation has been filed.
