The excitement around the movie is building as lead actress Krithi Shetty recently shared a picture of the movie poster outside a theater on Instagram, captioning it “coming soon.” This was further amplified when Tovino Thomas, the film’s star, reposted her update, adding to the anticipation.
Tovino Thomas to Play Three Roles in ARM
Ajayante Randam Moshanam features Tovino Thomas in a groundbreaking triple role, portraying characters named Maniyan, Kunjikelu, and Ajayan. The film revolves around their mission to protect the region’s greatest treasure. This high-budget period drama is one of the most eagerly awaited Malayalam projects of the year, promising a unique and thrilling cinematic experience.
Legal Dispute Over Ajayante Randam Moshanam
The release of Ajayante Randam Moshanam faced a major hurdle due to a legal dispute involving UGM Movies, the production company behind the film. An Ernakulam resident filed a lawsuit claiming to have invested Rs 3.2 crore in the movie’s production. The petitioner alleges that he never received ownership rights to the film and that these rights were secretly transferred to another party. As a result, the Ernakulam sessions court has issued an order freezing the financial transactions of director Jithin Lal. Consequently, all significant business agreements related to the movie. That includes theatrical, OTT streaming, satellite, and distribution contracts, have been indefinitely halted. This situation raises concerns that the film’s release could be further delayed until the legal issues are resolved amicably.
Identity Rescheduled for Christmas 2024 Release
Identity, another film starring Tovino Thomas, was initially set for a September release during the Onam festival. However, it has now been rescheduled for a Christmas 2024 release. The film’s creators have not provided further details regarding the change. Identity is a crime thriller that is being prepared for a pan-Indian release. Versions in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The movie also features significant roles played by Mandira Bedi, Vinay Rai, and Trisha Krishnan.
