Avengers 5 – Marvel to get rid of ‘The Kang Dynasty’ from the title

Avengers

The fifth movie in the Avengers franchise has yet to start filming, and it’s already faced a load of behind-the-scenes changes. The MCU’s upcoming Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is reportedly being referred to by a new name, which may imply the franchise is planning to shift away from Kang entirely.

A new report claims that with the recent firing of Jonathan Majors, the actor who had played the villainous Kang the Conqueror in Loki and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Marvel has quietly refocused the film — and changed its title.

The upcoming Avengers film is now referred to as Avengers 5, potentially indicating a change in the role of Kang as a villain. The title change is currently internal and wasn’t intended to be made public, so what it means for the movie’s plot is still being determined. It may be easier for Marvel Studios to recast Kang rather than introduce a new villain, as other projects in Phases 5 and 6 may have already been written with Kang’s storyline in mind.

According to a report, the latest draft of the project formerly known as Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is now being referred to as Avengers 5. This coincides with the movie getting a new writer, Michael Waldron, known in the MCU for his work co-creating Loki and writing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
