Kalki Posters hints on Prabhas Role, Makers left the clue

Directed by Nag Ashwin, “Kalki 2898 AD” is a unique fusion of Indian mythology and futuristic sci-fi, offering a visual spectacle. The film is set in a post-apocalyptic world, specifically in the year 2898 AD, where civilisation has crumbled, and only one city remains: Kasi.

The desertified city of Kasi is now ruled by a totalitarian elite known as Supreme Yaskin. Their base of operations? A hovering megastructure called the Complex. Against this backdrop, the film chronicles a journey spanning millennia, from the events of the Mahabharata in 3102 BC to 2898 CE. At the narrative’s core stands Kalki, the tenth and final avatar of the Hindu deity Vishnu.

“Kalki 2898 AD” boasts a star-studded cast. Prabhas plays Bhairava, a bounty hunter. Amitabh Bachchan portrays Ashwatthama. Kamal Haasan embodies Supreme Yaskin. Deepika Padukone takes on the role of SUM-80. Disha Patani, Brahmanandam, and other talented actors contribute to this ensemble cast.

Here’s the twist, Makers have left a massive clue with the posters of Prabhas. Both the posters that show Prabhas have a big tattoo on Prabhas’s left hand. But the tattoos in both posters are visibly different. This made ways to speculations that Prabhas is to be seen in dual role.

The film faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic but finally began filming in July 2021. With a staggering ₹600 crore (US$72 million) budget, “Kalki 2898 AD” is the second most expensive Indian film.
Santhosh Narayanan’s music, Djordje Stojiljkovic’s cinematography, and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao’s editing promise an immersive experience.
Release: Originally scheduled for May 9, 2024, the film’s release was postponed due to the 2024 Indian general election. Now, mark your calendars for June 27, 2024, when “Kalki 2898 AD” hits theatres worldwide in IMAX and other formats.
