Preity Zinta Reveals the Reason Behind Choosing Surrogacy.

Preity and her husband, Gene Goodenough, welcomed their twins, Jai and Gia, via surrogacy in November 2021. However, the path to this joyous moment was fraught with difficulties. Preity revealed that she initially tried to conceive through in vitro fertilization (IVF), a process that proved to be incredibly taxing on her both mentally and physically. She described the IVF phase as one of the most challenging periods of her life, where maintaining her usual cheerful demeanor became nearly impossible1.

The actress confessed that the societal pressure to always appear happy and positive added to her stress. “It was very difficult to be smiley and nice all the time,” she admitted. “Sometimes I just wanted to bang my head on the wall and cry or not talk to anybody”1. This raw honesty sheds light on the often-overlooked emotional toll that fertility treatments can take on individuals.

Preity Zinta Reveals the Reason:

Preity’s decision to choose surrogacy came after multiple unsuccessful attempts with IVF. She emphasized that the choice was not made lightly but was a necessary step for her to achieve her dream of becoming a mother. The actress expressed immense gratitude towards the surrogate who helped bring her children into the world, acknowledging the significant role she played in their journey2.

In her interview, Preity also touched upon the societal expectations placed on women, especially those in the public eye. She highlighted the importance of balancing one’s career and personal life, noting that the biological clock is a reality that women cannot ignore. “It’s important to focus on career, but being a woman, one also needs to realize that life is not completely fair and there is no level playing ground as the biological clock is real”1.

Now that her twins are over two years old, Preity feels ready to return to her acting career. She is set to make a comeback with Rajkumar Santoshi’s directorial “Lahore 1947,” alongside Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Sunny Deol1. This marks a new chapter in her life, where she hopes to balance her professional aspirations with her role as a mother.

Preity Zinta’s story is a testament to her resilience and determination. By sharing her experiences, she not only sheds light on the challenges of fertility treatments but also inspires others who may be facing similar struggles. Her journey underscores the importance of perseverance and the strength it takes to pursue one’s dreams, no matter the obstacles.
