Renowned mehendi artist Veena Nagda shared her delightful experience of working with Ranbir Kapoor on the sets of the 2016 film “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.” Veena fondly recalled how Ranbir was particularly enthusiastic about having mehendi applied to his hands during the filming of the song “Channa Mereya.” Ranbir kapoor’s love for mehendi made Channa Mereya more special.

Veena reminisced, “Ranbir bhi shauk se mehendi lagate the kyunki wo scene is tarah ka tha unke haath mein mehendi chahiye…” (Ranbir was fond of the mehendi being applied to his hands. As per the scene requirement, Ranbir was supposed to have henna hands). This enthusiasm from Ranbir added a unique charm to the shoot, making the experience memorable for everyone involved.
Veena Nagda praised Ranbir Kapoor, describing him as someone who brings a lot of fun and energy to the sets. She shared a humorous anecdote about how Ranbir would approach her to fix the mehendi whenever it started to fall off after drying. This playful interaction highlighted Ranbir’s dedication to his role and his light-hearted nature, making the shooting process enjoyable.
Veena’s experience with Bollywood stars doesn’t end with Ranbir Kapoor. She also had the opportunity to work with Deepika Padukone and Kalki Koechlin during the making of Ayan Mukerji’s 2013 film “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.” Veena recounted her 45-day-long shoot at an outdoor location in Udaipur, where she applied mehendi to both actresses. She mentioned that Deepika and Kalki were particular about having “proper” henna on their hands, showcasing their attention to detail and commitment to their roles.
Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ :
“Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,” directed, produced, and written by Karan Johar, featured Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played a crucial role in the second half of the film, adding depth to the storyline.
