After much anticipation, superhit film Pushpa’s sequel Pushpa: The Rule was launched two days back in Hyderabad. It is said that the film’s regular shoot will begin by next month. Helmed by Sukumar, this film features Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles.
Now the interesting buzz circulating in the film industry about this sequel is that the filmmakers are going to spend more than Rs.350 crores on this movie. That makes the film one of the most expensive Telugu films in Tollywood.
Speculations are also rife that director Sukumar alone is getting paid Rs.50 crores, whereas Allu Arjun will be given Rs. 100 crores for the film. This means, almost half of the budget will be gone into remuneration itself.
As Pushpa’s first part did a business of around Rs. 400 crores, makers are expecting that Pushpa 2 can earn more than 600 crores, if it gets even an average talk. Thus, the makers are ready to spend approximately 350 crores on it which is going to be really a whopping amount.
So we have to wait and see how the budget of Pushpa 2 is going to work out. Meanwhile, the film is slated for a 2023 release.
