Following the success of “Main Tera Hero” and “Judwaa 2,” Varun Dhawan and David Dhawan are gearing up for their third theatrical collaboration. The father-son duo has been brainstorming several ideas and is set to commence their next project in July 2024. According to sources close to the development, the film will feature an original script and is expected to be a hilarious entertainer.
Sreeleela’s Hindi Debut with Varun Dhawan
Pinkvilla has exclusively learned that Varun Dhawan and David Dhawan have chosen Sreeleela to play the female lead in this comedy film. This yet-untitled movie, produced by Ramesh Taurani under TIPS Entertainment, will mark Sreeleela’s debut in Hindi cinema.
A source close to the development revealed, “Much like all David Dhawan comedies, this one is also a love triangle where the humor stems from the confusion in the leading man’s life. The team has cast Sreeleela as Varun’s love interest in the film.” The source added that David has crafted an entertaining storyline to launch Sreeleela in the Hindi market.
Sreeleela on Her Bollywood Debut
The source further explained, “It’s a pakka-commercial entertainer. And Sreeleela believes this is the perfect launch pad for her in the Hindi market.” Pinkvilla had previously reported that Mrunal Thakur has joined the cast as a female lead alongside Varun. “Varun will be romancing both Mrunal and Sreeleela in the film.
It’s a fun entertainer, typical of David Dhawan’s style. Varun is returning to his familiar territory. And the makers have pulled off a fresh-casting coup by bringing Mrunal and Sreeleela on board with Varun,” the source added.
Star-Studded Cast and Production Details
Produced by Ramesh Taurani, the David Dhawan directorial features Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, Sreeleela, and Maniesh Paul in key roles. The movie will begin filming in mid-July and is slated for a theatrical release on October 2, 2025. Before this comic caper, Varun Dhawan will be seen in “Baby John” and “Sunny Sansakari Ki Meenakumari.”
