‘Thangalaan’ Special Screening For KGF Yash?

Chiyaan Vikram and director Pa Ranjith’s highly anticipated film, ‘Thangalaan’, is set to host a special screening for ‘KGF’ actor Yash. The story is set in the historical Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) in Karnataka, a location also depicted in Yash’s blockbuster ‘KGF’ series directed by Prashanth Neel.

Unlike the ‘KGF’ films, which focus more on the action and drama, ‘Thangalaan’ delves deeply into the demography and the oppression faced by the people in the area. This special screening is a nod to the connection between the two films and the historical significance of KGF.

Grand Plans and Promotions

A source close to the production revealed, “The makers of Thangalaan are planning a special movie screening for KGF star Yash. As the film’s backstory is based on Kolar Gold Fields (KGF).” The film is slated for a grand release on August 15 in multiple languages. Including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Initially, there were rumors about a special event being held in KGF to celebrate the film. Highlighting the importance of the location in both the film and real life. The audio launch of ‘Thangalaan’ is scheduled for August 5 at the Chennai Trade Centre, promising a grand event.

Promotional Events Across Cities

Recently, the makers of ‘Thangalaan’ organized a grand event in Hyderabad on August 4. Following the audio launch in Chennai, the team will embark on a promotional tour across several cities. These including Kochi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, to build anticipation ahead of the film’s release. These events are designed to engage with the fans. And  to create a buzz around the film, ensuring a wide reach and strong opening at the box office.

The Making of ‘Thangalaan’

‘Thangalaan’ is a historical drama written and directed by Pa Ranjith. The film features an ensemble cast, including Chiyaan Vikram, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathy, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Daniel Caltagirone, and Harikrishnan Anbudurai. The script, co-written by Ranjith, Tamil Prabha, and Azhagiral Periyavan, promises a compelling narrative set against the backdrop of KGF. Jointly produced by Studio Green and Neelam Productions. The film boasts a talented crew with GV Prakash Kumar composing the music. RK Selva handling the editing, and A Kishore Kumar as the cinematographer.
