The Poor Friday at Box-Office : All The 8 Failed

Looks like this Friday marked quite a dull day as all the major films released didn’t work out well at box-office. There was a considerable drop in the footfalls right from one week and almost eight films released this Friday scored lowest numbers.

Three noted films released reported poor numbers at the box-office considering the involved financials. Sudheer Varma’s Saakini Daakini has been declared as a dud and the film had no signs of improvement over the weekend.

Sudheer Babu and Mohan Krishna Indraganti’s magic did not work well at theatres. Their third collaboration, “Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali” got mixed reviews from critics and audience. The film has to be exceptional to recover the investments but it never happened.

On the other hand, Kiran Abbavaram’s “Nenu meeku Baaga Kavalsinavadini” also failed utterly at box office. Both Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Chepali and Nenu meeku Baaga Kavalsinavadini cannot even manage good openings, this is hurting more. Also, the collections for all the other new releases on this Friday are almost zero. All films competed with each other to post the lowest numbers possible.

On the whole, Tollywood had a dull weekend at the box-office and all eyes are now focused on “The Life Of Muthu”, going to hit screens today. However, this film is being released with least buzz in Telugu. Helmed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, the film was released two days back in Tamil and scored a decent hit.
