Tollywood’s Recent Movies Disappoints Big-time!

After a gap, Tollywood has seen back-to-back successes with Bimbisara, Seetharamam, and Karthikeya 2. Cinephiles and TFI people hoped that the success streak will continue but the recently-released movies had put a dent in those hopes. Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Miku Cheppali, Krishna Vrinda Vihari, Nenu Miku Baga Kavalsinavadini, and Alluri have all been silent at the box office. No movie was good enough to be called a blockbuster or at least a hit.

First, of these, Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Miku Cheppali has good expectations on it as it has the Nitro Star Sudheer Babu, Krithi Shetty and was directed by sensible director Indraganti Mohan Krishna. The movie’s trailers projected it to be a decent flick. Yet, after its release, it stood at just average range. Mythri Movie Makers produced the film in association with Benchmark Studios. Next on the list is Krishna Vrinda Vihari. This film didn’t have many expectations as it was completed many days ago and came late without too many promotions. The hero of the film, Naga Shaurya tried to generate some interest with his ‘Padayatra’, but ultimately, the content has not attracted the audience as it is very similar to Nani’s Ante Sundaraniki.

Kiran Abbavaram has grabbed the eyeballs with his first few films like Rajavaru Ranigaru, and SR Kalyana Mandapam. His latest is Nenu Miku Baga Kavalsinavadini. Although the movie team was successful in creating the necessary hype, the movie’s dull story and screenplay disappointed the audience big time. Late director Kodi Ramakrishna’s daughter Kodi Divya Deepthi produced this film. Last but not the least, Sri Vishnu is having fame for trying various genres. His latest is Alluri in which the actor tried to appear as a powerful police officer. While the story needs a star with a huge mass image, Vishnu was unable to carry the weight of the movie. As a result, this movie too has come under the average category. Overall, no movies were good enough this time to save the box office in September’s last week. We have to wait and see what’s in store ahead for October.
