Director Gautham Vasudev Menon and the Kollywood actor Simbu teamed up for the third time for their latest film, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu. This film was titled as The Life of Muthu in Telugu.
This gangster drama got released on September 15 in Tamil, and today in Telugu. Upon its release in Kollywood, the film is getting a positive response from the viewers and is having a good run at the Kollywood box office.
Reportedly, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu collected over Rs. 7 crores on its opening day at the box office across India. Interestingly, the earnings doubled on the second day as it collected over Rs.13.05 crores on Friday. On the whole, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu earned more than 20 crores in two days and is expected to have a great run over the weekend. The trade experts also stated that Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is on the Top-5 box office charts of UAE, Singapore and Malaysia.
However, coming to its Telugu version, all the morning shows of the film today have been cancelled across AP and Telangana for some unknown reasons. The latest news is that there won’t be any more delays and the shows will be starting post 2 PM in all centres of the Telugu states. As all the film’s in Telugu released on Friday bagged flop talk, we have to wait and see whether this Simbhu Gangstar drama is going to do big at Tollywood Box-office also.
This film features Sidhi Idnani as the female lead. Radhika Sarathkumar and Neeraj Madhav played other crucial roles in the movie. Ishari K Ganesh bankrolled the project and AR Rahman composed the music for it.
