Alia Bhatt one of the country’s top actresses in India has recently collaborated with Gucci. Gucci captioned the video Chime to Gender Equality and posted it on their official Youtube Channel.
Alia Bhatt appears to have taken this chance to Correct the Narrative, by addressing the issues concerned with gender inequality. Alia discoursed the importance of women’s empowerment in the interview.
“Patriarchy is fighting back, I mean I don’t like the sound of that. For so many women it’s just naturally embedded in their system, and their day-to-day life to be known as the lesser gender. It date’s so back into society’s construct, that you have to continuously correct the narrative not only through speeches and conversation but also through choices and actions. If she is empowered, if she is productive within herself, she will be productive at home, for her children, for the community, for the country and that has a repel effect on everyone connected to women.” Quoted Alia.
