A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms paused

Fans of the Game of Thrones franchise were excited to hear about the upcoming series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight. However, it seems that the writers’ room for the show has been shut down due to the ongoing Writers’ Strike.

The strike, which started last week, has caused many productions to come to a halt, including the highly-anticipated Game of Thrones spinoff. Author George R.R. Martin confirmed the news in a statement, expressing his disappointment but also understanding the importance of the strike for the writers’ cause.

It is currently unclear when the strike will end, and when the writers’ room for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight will be able to resume its work. However, fans remain hopeful that the delay will not be too long and that the spinoff will eventually make its way to the small screen.

In the meantime, fans can still look forward to Martin’s upcoming book releases, including the sixth instalment in the A Song of Ice and Fire series.
