Ponniyin Selvan 1 film which was released last year was directed by Mani Ratnam. The film stars Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, and Prakash Raj in the lead roles. It is an epic, historical, action-adventure film. The film got the highest collections in the Tamil Industry but not in any other languages.
The movie also faced problems as no distributors or buyers from the Telugu industry are ready to buy the Telugu rights of this film. This would mean that PS 2 has a lot of issues and it wouldn’t do much business in our industry. The movie is all set for theatrical release on 28th April, which has become the first film from south India to have a 4DX release.
The team has released an intro video giving us a glimpse of the story in which the voice-over was given by Kamal Haasan. The pre-release event is scheduled to be held on 23rd April from 5:30 PM at the Novotel Hyderabad Convention Center, Hyderabad.
