Aditi Rao Hydari to be seen portraying as Princess in her next upcoming movie titled Lioness The film was officially announced today at India-Pavilion which is managed by FICCI under the aegis of ministry of information and broadcasting at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival. The project has also got certified by the National Film Development corporation and British Film Institute.
The film is written and directed by award winning film maker Kajri Babbar fame for her film Khoj. This project made researching from Peter Bance, a historian who unveiled about princess Sophia to world. It’s about Princess Sophia Duleep, one of the Leaders of the suffragette movement in the U.K. Sophia is God Daughter of Queen Victoria and grand daughter of Maharajah Ranjit Singh.
Project is the story of two British Punjabi women living in U.K, century apart…One from the history while the other is fictional story added about Mehak Kaur, an educated married immigrant woman from 1990’s lived in UK. Film stars Aditi Rao Hydari and Paige Sandhu(actress from Emmerdale) and is being produced by Vivek Rangachari, Vaishali Paatil, Faraz Ahsan, Clare Cahill and Ajit Pal singh together.
