In an interview, Aishwarya was asked about why her daughter Aaradhya accompanies her everywhere she goes. Reacting to that, Aishwarya said “She’s my daughter. She goes with me everywhere.” The Ponniyin Selvan actress has gracefully the question shutting the trolls.
At IIFA Ustav, Aishwarya Rai won the Best Female Lead Tamil for Ponniyin Selvan: II. The film was directed by Mani Ratnam and has also received the award for Best Director Tamil for the same film. Ponniyin Selvan: II stars Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Jayaram, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Sobhita Dhulipala and many more. The film was also nominated for 13 catogeries in IFFA Ustav 2024.

During the IFFA ustav, Aishwarya rai who presented the award to the best director is seen toucing the feet of acclaimed director Mani Ratnam as he won the best director award for their film Ponniyin Selvan: II showcasingher respect. Speaking about Mani ratnam Aishwarya Rai said “I can’t even speak about his evolution as a maker because I have always respected him. So from the beginning, I just say I am very grateful that I got to work with him for my first movie. I was so honoured that he asked me to be his Nandini in Ponniyin Selvan.”
