Amar Kaushik, is well known for directing the Maddock Supernatural Universe comedy horror films Stree (2018), Bhediya (2022), and Stree 2 (2024), as well as the satire Bala (2019) and Stree 3 (2026). This director recently spoke about the record breaking success of Stree 2. He said, ‘The song in the film ‘Aaj ki Raat” has an undertone of feminism. It is not just an item song. We wanted to make a film and songs that align with the storyline in my mind. ‘

He further explained, ‘In any film, An item song is expected to be in vulgar language. That is what people want, But we did not want to use vulgar language in the message-oriented feminism based films. The entire movie is about the Divine Feminine energy. So, we worked on it so much to not have vulgar words like in other item songs. He clarified saying, ‘ If we put a kirtan song, we cant attract audience, we have no choice but to have an item song’.

The Maddock Supernatural Universe comedy horror films are one of the most loved universe in the films. The films that include different supernatural elements with comedy attracts both horror lovers and also comic lovers. The cross over of Bhediya and Stree 2 has got a great fanbase and the audience are more excited to see the crossovers on screen.
