Amitabh Bachchan Buys 3 Office Units in Mumbai

Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly acquired three office units in Mumbai’s Andheri West earlier this month.

These new properties are located in the Veer Savarkar Signature building, a popular choice among celebrities such as Kajol, Sara Ali Khan, and Kartik Aaryan, who also own commercial spaces in the same complex.

Financial Details of the Transaction

As per documents accessed by FloorTap.com, Amitabh Bachchan paid a substantial Rs 59.58 crore for these three office units, which collectively span an impressive 8,429 square feet. The purchase includes three dedicated car parking slots. It is noted that he completed the transaction with an initial payment of Rs 3.57 crore. However, Amitabh has yet to make any public statements regarding this purchase.

Amitabh Bachchan History with Commercial Real Estate

This acquisition isn’t Amitabh’s first venture into commercial real estate. He previously owned four office spaces in the Signature Building, which he rented out last year. The rental agreement for these properties fetches a yearly rent of Rs 2.07 crore, accompanied by a security deposit of Rs 1.03 crore. Despite the public interest, Amitabh has not commented on these real estate activities.

Amitabh Bachchan Land Purchase in Ayodhya

Earlier this year, Amitabh expanded his real estate portfolio by purchasing a 10,000 square feet piece of land in Ayodhya. This property was acquired from The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL), further showcasing his interest in prime real estate investments.

Abhishek Bachchan’s Property Acquisitions

Amitabh’s recent purchase follows closely on the heels of his son, Abhishek Bachchan, who bought six apartments in Borivali. These apartments are part of the Oberoi Sky City project by Oberoi Realty. According to a report in MoneyControl, Abhishek’s acquisition includes a total area of 4,894 square feet, with each unit priced at Rs 31,498 per square foot. The sale agreement for these properties was finalized on May 5, 2024.

Details of Abhishek’s Apartments

The six apartments owned by Abhishek are situated on the 57th floor of a high-rise building along the Western Express Highway (WEH) in Borivali East. This purchase also includes ten car parking spaces, emphasizing the luxurious nature of the property.
