Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s second pre-wedding bash onboard a luxury cruise has been the talk of the town. Radhika recently opened up about the extravagant four-day celebration in an interview with Vogue, revealing all the details and sharing exclusive photos.
Choosing Europe for a Special Reason
Radhika explained that the couple chose Europe for their second celebration to accommodate family members living in various parts of the world who couldn’t attend the Jamnagar festivities. “It was a retreat for the people that have contributed to our life in different ways,” she said.
Day 1: A Starry Night with a Special Gown
The celebrations kicked off with a starry-night themed party. Radhika donned a Robert Wun gown, featuring a love letter Anant wrote to her at age 22. The night included a surprise concert by the Backstreet Boys, setting a magical tone for the festivities.
Day 2: Exploring Rome and a Toga Party
The second day saw the guests exploring Rome. Later, back on the cruise, a toga party was held. Radhika wore a custom toga by New York-based designer Grace Ling, featuring an aerospace aluminum breastplate, blending modern design with traditional toga elements.
Day 3: Masquerade Ball in Cannes
On the third day, the celebration moved to Cannes for a masquerade ball at Chateau de la Croix des Gardes. Radhika stunned in a custom Versace dress, featuring blue shades that matched the Cote d’ Azur water. The evening included a performance by Katy Perry, adding a touch of pop glamour to the event.
Day 4: Final Night in Portofino
The final night of the cruise took place in Portofino. The Ambanis transformed the main square into an open-air market with food stalls. Radhika wore an archival Yves Saint Laurent for Dior dress, showcasing a piece of fashion history. The night featured a performance by legendary Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, ending the celebrations on a high note.
